WELCOME TO RAMA ENGINEERS

Thermal expansion in pipelines and ducts resulting due to large variation in ambient temperature and passage of hot and cold fluids needs to be compensated in order to avoid high stress build up and transfer of forces to the anchors or adjacent equipments. Hence, comes the Bellow Expansion Joints into play.

Incorporated in 2009 and serving the industry since then; Rama Engineers formed out of a passion of serving the best and pursuing a dream by an enthusiastic technical team is trusted for its commitment to deliver in time quality products; consistency and customer satisfaction.

At Rama Engineers bellows are designed using high end software based on EJMA updated to latest edition. We have built in manufacturing capabilities needed to meet the requirements for Bellow Expansion Joint manufacturing and related processes and all the inspection & testing facilities to validate the performance of the manufactured Bellow Expansion Joints. The product requires precise designing and manufacturing capabilities. Bellow Expansion Joints are used in various applications and fields covering steel plants, petrochemicals, cement industry, refineries, power plants, fertilizers, sugar, shipping industry and other core industries.

typs of movements

Movements due to temperature changes or mechanical motion to which the expansion joint will be subjected needs to be specified.

The various dimensional changes which an expansion joint Is required to absorb are as follows.

Axial Movement

Movement occurring in the direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the Bellow Expansion Joint. It can be either extension or compression; denoted by positive and negative sign respectively.

Lateral Movement

Movement occurring perpendicular to the centreline of the bellow. It can occur along one or more ads simultaneously.

Angular Movement

Bending of the expansion joint along its centerline is referred as angular movement. One side of the convolutions experiences compression and the other side experiences extension due to angular rotation of bellow.
